Could you give my your thoughts please on the Diablo Supercorsas you raced on last season and of course will be doing this season?

What combination do you favour? Have you noticed any differences in stability under braking or turn in rates between them? I know last year you only had access to the SC1 and SC2's but have you tried the SC0's this year?

Thanks Jen.

I like them all!!!

It's pretty straight forward really the SC2 are really really good! and last longer than the SC1's but if you can make an SC1 last for the race then they give slightly more grip, both tyres pretty much go off the same one just lasts longer than the other and the grip level isn't that different.

I tried a 0 tyre at the weekend but I didn't get to try it properly because my bike wasn't running properly, but the theory is they are gripper than the SC1 but obviously don't last as long.

Stabilty wise I don't think I'm experienced enough to notice any difference if there is any, which I'm trying to think isn't a bad thing ignorance is bliss!! just ride the blinking thing as fast as possible thats the plan!!!!!

Hope that helps

Jen

Thanks for that Jen.

I did my first race at Mallory a couple of weeks ago and was using and SC2 front and SC1 rear. I did 73 laps on them and the front doesn't look touched and the rear is knackered. I may get one session on the track day at Snetterton on Friday out of it.

The reason for using the combination is that Youngy and Glen Richards ran this combo for every race bar one last season. They don't ever do endurance races though, so never need tyres to last. Are you running SC1's in BSS and SC2's with HMRC? I would rather have maximum grip, but for budget reasons, would like a tyre to last for qualifying and the race. Are there any tracks that are particularly kind on tyres?
I have heard Anglesey is particularly harsh on tyres.

The reason for the harder front by the way, is Youngy said the difference in the compounds for the SC1 and SC2 fronts (unlike the rears) is almost negligble. The biggest difference is in the sidewalls which are a lot softer on the SC1's. A lot of people prefer that, but him and Glen found under severe braking they can induce a little weave so don't feel as stable. I don't have their talent of course (or yours), but Paul recommended I use the same combo because of my size. That combination does work fantastic for me, but like I said, I would prefer more rear life, so I think I will give the SC2 rears a try. Tempting to chuck an SC0 in for qualifying though Smile

The best of luck for Snetterton Jen. Lets hope our luck is better than the current forecast. Actually, you have a good forecast for Sunday, just my race day is supposed to be wet Confused
